'Twas Beedrill, and the Starmie Gloom
Did Grimer and Gengar in the Mew:
All Mankey were the Vileplume
And the Seel Jynx Mewtwo.

"Beware the Pikachu, my son
The jaws that bit, the claws that tore!
Beware the Spearow Bird, and shun
The Farfetch'd Bulbasaur!"

He took his Vulpix sword in hand:
Long time the Moltres foe he sought --
So rested he by the Slowbro tree
And stood a while in thought

And, as in Oddish thought he stood,
The Pikachu, with eyes of flame,
Came Weezing through the Pidgey wood,
And Squirtle as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The Vulpix blade went Poliwrath!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went Nidoking back.

"And, has thou slain the Pikachu?
Come to my arms, my Krabby boy!
O Abra day! Sandshrew! Primeape!"
He Weedle in his joy.
