"Stand back, or I'll jump off this cliff-like thingie here!"
"Don't believe him! It's a bluff!"
"A Pun" was funded by a grant from the President's Council
on Cheap Laffs, and produced in collaboration with The
Albany Group, a consulting firm specializing in geological
humor.
"A Pun" will soon be available in audio form from Books On Tape,
read by Leonard Nimoy.
A film version of "A Pun" is slated to be released in Summer
1998 by Orion Films, with Adam Sandler as "the guy who yells
'Stand back, or I'll jump off this cliff-like thingie here.'"
and Cheech Marin as "the guy who yells 'Don't believe him, it's a bluff.'"
A novelization of the movie version of "A Pun" will be available
from Pocket Books.
A second film, based on the novelization of the first film, will
be released in Winter 1999, starring Jason Alexander as "the guy who
yells 'Don't believe him, it's a bluff.'" with Ed Begley, Jr.
as "the guy who yells 'Stand back, or I'll jump off this cliff-like
thingie here.'"
Look for the soundtrack from Virgin Records, featuring the
hard-rapping track "Stand Back" by OutKast, and the soulful
ballad "Don't Believe Me (It's a Bluff)" by Toni Braxton.
